Q. Why is SEO important to my website?

Q. I rank well in Yahoo, but not in Google. Why?

Q. What is PageRank?
A. Often referred to as “PR,” PageRank is Google’s representation of how important a page is on the Internet. When one page links to another, it is basically acting as a “vote” for the other page. The more votes for a particular page, the more Google takes notice. Google also takes into account the importance of the page casting the vote.

Q. Can you guarantee a number #1 position in the search engines?
A. Nobody can guarantee a number #1 position or specific ranking for your site for a given keyword phrase. There are simply too many factors beyond anyone's control, the search engines changing their ranking algorithms, efforts made by competitors, and new sites being added to the Web.

Q. How often do I need to submit my website to the Search Engines?
A. There is no need to submit your website to the Search Engines more than one time. Once you are in their database of web pages, resubmitting your web page to the Search Engines again will not help rank your website higher.

Q. What are link farms and why are they bad?
A. Link farms are web pages that contain nothing but links to unrelated sites created for the sole purpose of gaining higher search engine rankings. Link farms have no relevant content and are considered a form of spam. Sites that utilize link farms can get banned from the major search engines.
