SEO Strategist
Position Summary
The SEO strategist serves an essential support role in the overall Prime Visibility process. The strategist works closely in the initial SEO process with the account manager, copywriter and other team members to ensure that the client's site is properly optimized. Using established procedures and methodologies, the strategist conducts the keyword research, maps and creates the wire framing for the site and prepares the copy documents for the copywriters. They also handle all sitemap and data feed submissions. During the monthly sustaining process, the strategist assists with re-optimization for underperforming pages and developing long term strategies to achieve increases in site rankings and traffic.
Summary of essential job functions
- Conduct keyword research using established tools and methodologies.
- Analyze client websites for search engine friendly design. Suggest improvements to site structure, page content, navigation, etc.
- Create keyword mapping and wire framing documents.
- Generate sitemap submissions and data feeds for product search.
- Support account management team members on initial and monthly sustaining SEO tasks.
Qualifications:
- Intermediate level of Internet experience
- Basic level of HTML and web design knowledge
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Solid understanding of words and how they are used by web searchers.
- Strong capacity to communicate technical subjects to non-technical people.
- Effective ability to work as part of a team and to interact with the account management team as well as various other support teams.
- Ability to work to follow a step by step project plan and adhere to strict deadlines.
